85 young sailors from 12 Sailing Clubs from the North of Portugal, were present last weekend to sail the III PCR Optimist, race that would define the sailors that would go to the Nationals (Tavira, 7 to 12th June).
Unfortunatelly it was impossible to the organization to use 2 of the racing courses due to the very strong winds (over 20 knots, and gusts over 25) so the option was to Sail in front of Costa Nova, although very late (starting at 5pm and ending past 8pm).
Sunday brought no good news as to the weather, with the wind still from SSW, making it impossible to sail on the Sea or in the Terminal Norte. So it was time to the Prize giving, with the Clube de Vela Atlantico taking the first two places in the different Classes (A, B and Starters). See some photos in the Galeria III PCR.
