Francisco Cálão/António Pereira (POR 56) take third win in a row.
Not without effort, as the first two races of Saturday (20th June) were won by Renato Conde/Marta Lobato(2012 Olympic Match Racing sailor) and Pedro Ré (POR 27) taking the win on the last of the day. On Sunday things were a little different as Salustiano Ribeiro/Bernardo Cálão lost the first race on the last lap, allowing Francisco Cálão to take victory for the first time.
Renato Conde capsized and couldn't continue.
Salustiano Ribeiro won the second race, equalizing Francisco Cálão on the top of the leader board, and leaving things to be solved at the last race. Again (as in the Regional Championship) Nélson Machado/Rafael Lopes (POR 51) won the last race, allowing them to reach third podium position, followed by Francisco Cálão and Salustiano Ribeiro.
At the end, 1 single point separated 1st from 2nd. Pedro Ré, Renato Conde and Gonçalo Silva finished the Regatta on the following positions. Next regatta will be the Portuguese Nationals, on the 10th, 11th and 12th of July, where some foreign crews are already expected, one week before the European Championship.
