Torreira receied the 1st event counting to the Sharpie National Ranking, as well as for the Sharpie Cup 2009.
Once again the Associação Náutica da Torreira received the Sharpie fleet with an excelent organization that also counted with some Vougas that could also enjoy 3 fantastic Races. On Sunday the weather (winds up to 27 knots and lots of rain) didn't allow the fleets to sail. As for the Sharpies, three races three winners, but above all a lot of figh for the podium places among POR 30, POR 44 and POR 54, letting know that this will be an animated year preparing the European Championship. Salustiano Ribeiro / Vasco Labrincha (POR 30) were the winners, followed by Renato Conde / Delmar Conde (POR 44) and by Francisco Cálão / António Pereira (POR 54).
Also present were the crews Bernardo and Manuel Cálao (POR 56), Paulo Matos / João Cavaz POR 27) and José and Nuno Monteiro (POR 5) finishing in this order.
